Banged Out About 4So it looks like my skill is back up to where it was....but my subject matter that I really want to draw has...changed slightly, let me say. Menopause is demanding it. *wiggles eyebrows*
I drew 4 large sketches today, only one of which I decided to share. Since its on 17" bristol, I had to splice it together which looks alriiiiight...but not perfect.

Nevermind...Looks like they got the ornaments, too. They just mentioned the mugs in the notice. Ah well, thought it was fine what with all the non-official 'Michigan" merchandise.

Devious Journal EntryLooks like advertising a little via Tumblr, Google+, and Pinterest has started paying off. Would like to also use Instagram but I'm on PC and its kind of a proprietary bitch about it. I got a couple Zazzle sales today, of designs I've never had any sales on before, aaaand a copyright strike when they reviewed the Wolverine Cheerleader mug. It is, of course, because she's similar to a Michigan Wolverines cheerleader of course, minus the letters. They haven't picked up on the ornaments yet, tho.

POD SitesSo Zazzle's last crash that temporarily wiped out a huge chunk of my products (at least those which weren't wiped out by previous updates that I didn't notice until recently) has made me start considering, yet again, other POD sites. I think I might take the plunge and go with making a store on Etsy and sell products from several linkable POD sites, like Printful. I'll keep Redbubble, tho - I've gotten the most sales from them, plus they allow my pop art and cater to geeks that are my primary audience.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I'm also TRYING to get an Instagram account going, but I need an Android emulator to get the app working on my PC, and the site wouldn't even just plain let me log in today.

Well, Shit...Looks like I'll be finding another platform for sharing my art. I've seen deals like the Wix deal before, and they ALWAYS make promises about things not changing, that they'll leave the purchased site alone but just update software, and that the same protections will remain...and they all inevitably turn out to be lies. Especially since Wix has publically stated they're going to 'open up the repository of art...' to Wix users to just take for their own uses.
And dA so far is not answering questions adequately, IMO, when they actually answer at all. Hopefully they will say something tomorrow.
Time to fire up the Instagram account I made, I guess, and transfer the furry art all to FurAffinity finally...

Zazzle 'bout Gave Me a Heart Attack Last Night!I've been putting Rainbow Gator on products for the last few days, and last night I got a copyright strike and product removed!
So immediately I emailed back and asked what the actual problem is since its clearly my own design. Closest I could come was that maybe there was a problem with the name being almost the same as someone else's design name.
Turns out...it was more silly than that. The product was a 'thermal tumbler', which most people would know as a thermos...but Thermos doesn't like it when people use that in descriptions, or, as I had done, AS A TAG. Just an effing common word tag that allows people to find your product.

I don't know if I'm going to replace the product, but at least now I'm a bit wiser about my tags.

Low-key ChristmasSo so far this holiday season is very low-key for me. Which is good because I'm battling some throat issues. No idea what, 'cause I haven't been to the VA recently, but I'm using all the homeopathic and regular over the counter stuff I have, which is working.
I'm sure I've been annoying the neighbors with my foghorn cough, which has finally subsided except when I'm laying down, so I've had some late nights just because of that. Been watching a lot of movies and Xmas specials on YouTube as a result.
I'd advise against searching for Jack Frost on YT, tho, unless you don't mind wading through tons of (Rise of the Guardians) Jack Frost and Elsa soft to hardcore porn. I came across that while looking for the Rankin/Bass Jack Frost. Don't get me wrong, I like RotG and the pairing TOTALLY makes sense...I just got a little tired of wading though 13 pages of it before even getting to 1 R/B video.
And of course I ended up watching RotG on YT last night, too. I

Firstly, I want to thank the anonymous user who gave me a 3-month Premium Membership. I don't use the features much, but I like the journal themes, so thank you!

Secondly, I wanted to thank everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday! Being at college, nothing excited happened except classes and work, but I did get to help out at a dodgeball tournament our club hosted, so that was kinda fun.
Thirdly, who else enjoyed the 70=80 degree temperatures and gorgeous weather on Friday + Saturday? Cause I know I did! It was short lived (back to rainy, windy, and cool) but I hope you all made the most of it! I drove up to Teatown Reservation to see if there was any growth, but there was very few. They opened up their "Wildflower Island" to the public and I hope to go back in a couple of weeks when things begin to grow more.

In all seriousness, I wanna start to make commissions. After talking to Alyssa (walkingmelons on youtube) about prices, I'm leaning towards following her policy. So if you want to commission me here are some details:
A fully colored digital drawing (like this one): $40 (may charge extra if there are more than 2 characters)
A fully colored digital drawing only focusing on the upper body part: $30
Since I'm just starting with the commission thing I wanna take it slowly and patiently, maybe in a future I'll be able to draw only sketched or simple colored drawings which will be cheaper, but for now I'll focus on what I know I can do better. If you are interested, send me a note named "Commission" and then add what you want. I'm thinking I can only take maybe 2 commissions per week to get started, when I get the hang of it I'll probably be able to take more in.
