Imagine that Manilow is covered in black velvet fur, save for his one white hand - I wasn't brave enough yet at the time to attempt shading and potentially obliterate what good parts I did.  Also this was meant to be computer colored (I had no experience with it at the time), but the person who was to do it at the time never got around to it.  And of course, the outfit is all white.

This is, I believe, the second picture I ever did of him (the first was one of my worst!   As anyone who was on the Beastie Board during the 11 hours the first one was up can attest to!).  He was created during one 4 hour long drive, during which I played my Barry Manilow Live tape exclusively, over and over again.  Looks like Michael Jackson, named after Barry (later on I worked it into the story as a tease he didn't get when the sergeant heard him singing to himself in his cell, which he decided to change his name to later on), and sounds like Julio Iglesias in that his first language is Spanish..sort of.  More like English with Spanish word-order and the occasional word.

All the rest of his background, including his previous name of Fiver and all his littermates, came to me later.
